The purpose of this article of reflection is to analyze the successes, strengths, weaknesses and failures of the Peace Agreement that put an end to the armed conflict between the Colombian State and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, Popular Army (FARC-EP), discussed with the context of the war model, the key moments of the conflict in the history of the country, learning from the mistakes of the pasts negotiations experiences with the same group, which failed to overcome the stage of approaches with the government or partial ceasefire agreements, that they were not fulfilled shortly after starting, the conditions under which the negotiations were carried out and the participation of international organizations in this process. This article presents, then, an analysis of the complexity of the conflict in Colombia, the willingness of the parties involved to negotiate and the current Peace Agreement between the State and the FARC-EP that is expected to lead to a consolidated peace throughout the National territory.
