With the actual refuge situation in Colombia that emerges due to the Venezuelan crisis, the asylum seekers have been exposed to several forms of oppression that vary from structural forms to everyday experiences. This oppression is manifested in several mechanisms such as uncertainty, economical exclusion, social fragmentation and xenophobia. This way, the need for a integral care for the asylum seekers arises, that goes from the accompaniment in accessing their rights to a psychosocial attention. The present document is a systematization of experiences from the psychosocial accompaniment given to asylum seekers in the Secretariado Nacional de Pastoral Social (SNPS) during the year 2018 from a liberation psychology focus that pretends to identify the social mechanisms that oppress the asylum seeker and the elements of the interventions that optimize the coping resources. This analysis was made through two semi structured interviews and a documental revision of the reports made with psychology team. The results showed that a progressive attention directed to an empowerment, passing through important elements such as the generation of a space con trust, the recognition of emotions, the resignifcation, the access to rights, and the empowerment of personal resources, allow the activation of behavioral and cognitive resources overcome the internalized oppression
