The financial aspect is one of the most transcendental in the countries, because it affects commercial, productive and technological decisions, it is a question of providing elements of analysis and alternatives to solve the problem in one of the most important sectors of the colombian economy, such as the oil sector. To do this, the three most representative companies of the oil sector in Colombia (Pacific Exploration, Ecopetrol and Canacol) in the period 2010-2015 will be analyzed by means of the financial analysis (static and dynamic analysis of percentages). The results are that the companies had to borrow, increase their value proposition and financial capacity.
