Lepanthes ortiziana O. Perez & E. Parra, a new species from the cloud forest relicts of Yumbo and Yotoco municipalities (Valle del Cauca, Colombia), is described and illustrated. This species resembles Lepanthes saragdin a Luer & R. Escobar, from which it differs by the deeply cordate base of the leaf (vs. rounded), the green-yellowish pale color of the sepal (vs. purple brown with a thin yellow edge), the lateral sepals with spreading apices (vs. approximate), the abutsely uncinae upper lobes of the petals (vs. oblong), and a lip with a tri-apiculate appendex (vs. triangular). Information about its disribution and habit is also presented.
