Since the enactment of Law 99 of 1993, it establishes a compulsory environmental education in the college, this is done through the General Education Law formulating and implementing the School Environmental Projects. Environmental education is a process by which seeks to establish a subject / relationship environment, aimed at preserving the environment and framed in sustainable development and the knowledge of the interaction between different socio-environmental problems that arise and any consequences thereof. Environmental education seeks to address environmental issues not only of the institutions but the catchment area in which activities that may cause negative impacts on the environment are developed. Face environmental problems indicated create solutions or alternatives to mitigate environmental crisis currently afflicting society; for this reason it is also required to provide solutions, proposing policies and strategies that allow an approach to the balance of man-nature relationship.
