In order to understand the meanings of diversity in the university educational context and how teachers construct teaching practices taking into account strategies that address the natural heterogeneity of students, the research entitled Teaching practices in the face of diversity in the university context a case study in the Pontifica Universidad Javeriana. The research problem of this work is what are the senses from which the institution and teachers understand diversity and design strategies in the context of university teaching? After justifying the development of this project, there are some objectives to be solved and some background. Subsequently, as a context, the key concepts of the two main categories involved in the study are presented: diversity in the university sphere and the methodological construction of teaching practices; Subsequently, the methodology used in the research, the type of study, the instruments and the phases of the investigative process are explained. Finally, the results of the research are presented in response to the objectives set out therein, generating recommendations to improve the construction of the teaching practice, to understand how to act in the face of the diversity of the university classroom and to identify how well prepared There are the professors and other actors in the university to attend to diversity.
