El texto presenta un avance de investigacion interdisciplinaria que desarrolla articulaciones teoricas e interpretativas, para comprender algunos de los procesos socioculturales contemporaneos que inciden en la configuracion de las culturas juveniles del Hip Hop en Sinaloa en una temporalidad de los ultimos 5 anos. Partiendo de un conocimiento historico general de la irrupcion de la juventud como sujeto historico, y como categoria social, asi como las tendencias teorico-metodologicas socioantropologica contemporaneas, que debaten sobre los procesos de creacion de configuraciones culturales, identidades y de hegemonia en el contexto historico de lo que algunos autores denominan como la cultura neoliberal, se fueron tejiendo preguntas de investigacion: ?Que factores sociales influyen en la configuracion de las culturas juveniles del Hip Hop en Sinaloa y como se desarrollan ante las pautas hegemonicas globales a nivel local? Buscando dar validez cientifica en los estudios de caso sobre las culturas juveniles, se emplea la etnografia como una herramienta privilegiada para recoger testimonios y biografias de las juventudes, asi como otros datos empiricos elegidos en sus representaciones y practicas productos de sus actividades culturales. Youth cultural configurations and their disputes over hegemony in the port city of Mazatlan, Sinaloa The text presents an advance of interdisciplinary research that develops theoretical and interpretative articulations, to understand some of the contemporary sociocultural processes that affect the configuration of youth cultures of Hip Hop, in Sinaloa in the last five years. Starting from a general historical knowledge of the irruption of youth as a historical subject, and as a social category, as well as contemporary socio-anthropological theoretical-methodological trends, which debate the processes of creation of cultural configurations, identities and hegemony in the historical context From what some authors call the neoliberal culture, research questions were woven: What social factors influence the configuration of the youth cultures of Hip Hop in Sinaloa and how they develop in the global hegemonic patterns at the local level? Looking to give scientific validity in the case studies on youth cultures, ethnography is used as a privileged tool to collect testimonies and biographies of youths, as well as other empirical data chosen in their representations and practices products of their cultural activities.
