This research was developed with the aim of understanding the processes of citizen participation within the framework of the Public Policy on Gender Equality for women, from the context of the social organization Mesa Women 's Affairs in the municipality of Santa Fe of Antioquia. The research is located in the period ranging from 2014 to 2016, addressed from an epistemological, methodological, political and experiential ethical component that allowed a rigorous and relevant analysis of the results of the same. The Social Work profession has sketched the interest to reflect from a critical feminist thought impregnated with values, representations and meanings as an essential contribution that allows to cross barriers in the new local organizational.
