Relate disability and health-related quality of life in disabled adults in the city of Soledad, Atlantico (Colombia, 2017). Materials and method. Descriptive study of correlational scope with 125 participants with disabilities over 20 years of age from the city of Soledad, Atlantico Department, Colombia who have been permanently limited for more than six months. The WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire was used to assess disability and the WHOQOL-Bref to establish the health-related quality of life of the population with disabilities. Results. The highest score averages (greatest disability) were found in the participation area (28.90 points), regarding quality of life it was found that the environment domain was the worst perceived among the participants (67.42 points). A statistically significant direct relationship (p <0.005) was found between disability with marital status, occupation, medical diagnosis and the type of medication, this relationship had a strength between weak and moderate. Quality of life showed significant relationships (p <0.005) with marital status, age ranges, time ranges of permanent limitation, use of medications and use of external aids. Most of the quality of life domains presented a significant and inverse association with the areas and global disability. Conclusion. The findings show that context (environmental) factors influence the degree of disability and perception of quality of life, employment continues to be a determining factor for the assessment of disability.
