Education has been implemented as a device through which social struggles have been appeased, communities have been dominated, and subjects have been produced according to the molds more convenient for the ruling power. Educative practices havehad allowed an acritical reproduction of power through the imposition of values, body behavlors and contents that reinforce patterns of power and knowledge such as coloniality. The objective of this Investigaron is, , from the literary studies, to unveil, questlon and polnt out the nature of education in Colombiatrough the analysls of the Reports of Catholic Mlsslons during of the 20th century and of the educational policies of the Ministry of Education about ethnoeducation and rural education, because, although both documents were with a century of difference and with at least 400 year difference from the so-called colonial period, both instances propose an educational model that not only reproduces but is based on coloniality with the objective of deploying capitalist projects of modernization and exploitation of territories an subjects trough the distinction of difference and the imposition of representations about the “Other”. Writing is a fundamental device through which reality has been produced, invented and designed. It is a practice that produces discourses that, at the same time,configure practices with visible consequences and strategies for the reproduction of power in the most convenient terms for the State and those who enjoy their privileges.
