espanolEl presente estudio se basa en documentos del corpus Documentos para la historia linguistica de Colombia, siglos XVI a XIX (DHLC), en construccion en el Instituto Caro y Cuervo desde el ano 2012. Se realiza aqui un analisis comparativo de dos cartas autografas fechadas en el ultimo tercio del siglo XVI (1576 y 1600 d. D.) y escritas en territorios de lo que hoy es el centro-occidente colombiano (departamentos de Risaralda y Cundinamarca) por parte de dos autores muy diferenciados en la escala social (un sevillano afincado en Santafe y un cacique ladino de Cartago la Vieja, hoy la ciudad de Pereira). En ambos textos se examinan los aspectos relativos a la fonologia subyacente y se describen fenomenos sintacticos relevantes. El analisis soporta la hipotesis de la implantacion en Colombia de un sistema fonologico espanol con seseo generalizado sin rastros del viejo sistema toledano de sibilantes. EnglishThe present study is based on documents from the corpus Documentos para la historia linguistica de Colombia, siglos XVI a XIX (DHLC), on construction on the Instituto Caro y Cuervo since 2012. Here we present a comparative analysis of two hand-written letters dated on the last third of the XVIth century (1576 and 1600 a. D.) and written in territories of what is today the west and the center of Colombia (departments of Risaralda and Cundinamarca); both letters were written by two authors who were clearly differentiated in the social scale (a Spaniard living in Santafe, and a Spanish-speaking native Indian). The analysis covers phonological and syntactic features on both letters, and supports the hypothesis of the implantation in Colombia of a Spanish phonologic system restructured by the seseo, with no traces of the old Toledan system of fricatives and affricates.
