This article exposes the main findings of the research called: Mediation of the Prensa Escuela Program in Citizenship and Ethics, conducted in agreement with the Pontificia Bolivariana University, San Buenaventura University and the newspaper El Colombiano in Medellin (Colombia), within the Prensa Escuela Program, in regarding the characteristics that ethics acquires within the activities developed by the Program and that are evidenced in the writings of the participants published annually in El Taller during the period from 2012 to 2016; the theoretical postulates appear briefly, based on which the understanding of ethics is articulated, from two fundamental axes: the training offered by the Prensa Escuela Program -whose main emphasis is the reading with criteria and the production of contents with responsibility- and the construction of knowledge that participants get from it, issues that appear in an inseparable network, in this way are presented those emblematic texts that exemplify the categories of analysis. Thus, it is possible to describe that the construction of the ethics carried out by the participants of the Program, is closely related to the reflection on oneself and to the revaluation of the environment; In addition, it is a way of relating to the other, an opportunity to develop autonomy and the way to take care of oneself.
