This paper presents a reflection on the current deforestation problem and its link with pencil manufacture,and it also proposes a manual way of producing ecological pencils. To that end, three phases werecarried out: in the first one, a survey was applied; in the second one, an interview was conducted; and,finally, the elaboration of the steps for building the pencil were presented.
