In the present project, the study and implementation of a base station with the LTE (Long Term Evolution) mobile communications standard is carried out, which provides higher data transfer speed according to the specification of Release 8, by 3GPP (3rd Generation) Partnership Project) and compatible with later releases as Release 13. The PicoSDR 2X2E technology from Nutaq, the Amari LTE 100 software from Amarisoft and the QualiPoc measurement equipment are governed by 3GPP standardization. The PicoSDR 2X2E is a compact device based on SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology that allows the deployment of an LTE network, through the configuration of established parameters and for different services or Amarisoft software specifications. The Amarisoft software is integrated into the PicoSDR equipment, since this equipment has an embedded PC, which allows an implementation and coverage for the deployment of the LTE network. This software performs processing related to the core of the network or EPC (Evolved Packet Core) and eNodeB (Evolved NodeB). Amarisoft software can be installed on other SDR platforms but it is not interchangeable after being installed. For the project, the information is collected in order to characterize the PicoSDR 2X2E equipment at the technical level, with fundamental information such as frequencies, bandwidths and functionalities that contribute to the development of the project. The LTE network scheme and the description of the elements that make it up were also analyzed, as well as the architecture of the interfaces and work protocols; to then perform measurements and establish signal levels of the network in the QualiPoc software, for analysis and performance of the technology on mobile devices. In this document a scenario is implemented to show the functioning, work environment, configuration and practices that are desired to be carried out at the research or academic level in subjects such as digital communication and wireless and mobile communication in order to analyze, investigate and study improvements in pro of future projects or laboratory practices.
