This document is made by five parts. In the first part is developed the reference framework, which takes as main notions the neo-institutionalism, international cooperation, and commercial capacity concepts. The second part considers the free trade agreements as instruments of the international trade policy of Colombia. Consequently, in the third chapter, it makes an analyses of the Free Trade Agreements, taking special relevance in those that have been made between Colombia and the United States as Canada.
