The purpose of this research work is to propose environniental management strategies that, from the legal and political perspective, can be implemented in the mining activity that is carried out in the Industrial Mining Parks, located in the soutli of Bogota, to achieve that this activity improves its environmental performance. The review of the mining and environmental records, in contrasi to the geographic information of the PMIs. allowcd the elaboration of the cartography of the at ea, reflected in threc maps that show the tilles and applications whose area overlaps with the PM1. the restoration arcas of the Sabana de Bogota and compatible zones in accordance with Resolution 2001 of 2016 and the environmental coverage that can be excluded. To do so. the mining activity was characterized, on the one hand, the mining titles and environmental control Instruments present in the area were identified. as well as the legal regime applicable to each of them and. on the other hand. the challenges and opportunities to improve the environmental performance of the mining activity of the industrial Mining Parks. Based on the achievement of primary information through qualitative methodological instruments such as interviews, documentary and regulatory content analysis. the current situation of mining activity is analyzed, taking into account the current regulations, regulatory changes and interviews with public offtcials of the mining sector, the environmental sector, mining entrepreneurs, advisors. whose positions were contrasted through the triangularon of information, which allows us to propose strategies that from the juridica! and political level allovv the improvement of the environmental performance of the mining activity in the PMI.
