Lineamientos educativos para la conservación de los senderos transitables de los cerros orientales bogotanos, estudio de caso sendero quebrada de las delicias
The authorized trails of the Cerros Orientales (Eastern Hills) are paths where people mainly go seeking satisfaction, learning or entertainment; this with the aim of having a closer experience with what is natural and fresh, although it is a place inside Bogota. Nowadays, The Sendero Quebrada Las Delicias is one of the most important trails as it is one of the most appealing touristic places due to its waterfall and its history of the hydraulic round recovery which is part of the Quebradas de Chapinero’s recovery. In the aforesaid path, three main topics are joined: the environmental, the social and the economical one, that is primarily associated with tourism; here a strong interaction between administrative actors, trail users (walkers) and the Bosque Calderon Tejada neighborhood inhabitants, is highlighted. Many a visitor is unaware of the ecological importance of the Cerros and the ecosystem that surrounds the authorized trails, same as its fauna, flora and existent dynamics. This unawareness generates a negative impact on the ecosystem, working as stressors when leaving their pets excrements, throwing garbage, stablishing new paths in succession process areas, seeding exotic or invasive plants, among others. The purpose of this paper is to generate educational guidelines departing from the analysis that ecologically beneficiates this trail, propitiating the Cerros Orientales trails preservation. Keywords: Trail, Eastern Hills, Environmental Education.
