Esta investigacion tiene como finalidad conocer las circunstancias en las que se encuentra actualmente la Zona Franca de la ciudad de Cucuta, generando expectativa acerca de la reestructuracion y mejoramiento de las instalaciones, inversionistas nacionales y extranjeros, identificacion de consecuenciasdel descuido de la Zona Franca. La recoleccion de la informacion se realiza a traves de una encuesta en linea para los usuarios de la Zona Franca y una visita tecnica para la revision de las instalaciones. A traves del analisis de informacion obtenida con los instrumentos de investigacion aplicados se muestra que un 62% de los encuestados opina que como consecuencia del deterior de la ZF aumentara el desempleo en la ciudad, el 25% cree que las exportaciones sufriran una disminucion muy notable y un 12,5% obtuvieron opiniones diferentes con respecto al cierre de la Zona Franca; en conclusion, el abandono del regimen franco genera un caos economico que no le permite a la ciudad aprovechar los beneficios y oportunidades que otorga, mejorar la competitividad de la region.PALABRAS CLAVES: causas, ciudad, consecuencias, economia, Zona Franca.ABSTRACTThis research aims to know the circumstances in which it is currently Zona Franca Cucuta, generating expectation about the restructuring and upgrading of facilities, domestic and foreign investors, identifying consequences of neglecting the Free Zone.
