This academic research article endorses the study case of Brazil during 2003 to 2010 within the framework of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva government, in which the South-South Cooperation schemes applied over the food safety public policy are analyzed, identifying the effects that the process showed over the international insertion strategy of the country. In order to meet such purpose, the reader is conducted through arguments outlined by three specific areas that consider the interaction of the subject to study variables and that will be useful promote the debate towards the achievement of opportunities that arise from the cooperation among emerging development regions.
