This thesis was carried out in order to identify the experiences of health care in undergraduate bachelor students of a private higher education institution in Bogota. A qualitative study was used, in order to understand and deepen the experiences of young university students and to explore and investigate their experiences, perspectives and significant opinions regarding health care in 3 significant moments (before, during and after ) In the areas of physical activity, food and rest habits. In this study, bachelor students from various faculties of the undergraduate area of a private higher education institution participated. 11 students, between the ages of 19 to 26 years old, have been contacted, who contributed information on experiences in relation to physical activity, food and free time; allowing the analysis and reaching the objectives proposed for the study. The data collection process was carried out through a statistical tool called “snowball technique” Based on research, in order for the university student to know the importance of having adequate food, to practice physical activities, recreation and leisure, however, due to the high academic load, it is very difficult to use the time to perform these activities adequately; for which it is important to acquire healthy habits of life during the childhood and adolescence, which repercute in the university stage and later in adulthood. It is a fundamental role of nursing in order to provide a good education that allows the child and adolescents to maintain healthy habits, reduce any risk and generate good Quality of life. It is recommended for these academic institutions of higher education, to ensure the well-being of students, thus creating spaces that generate good food, recreational and sports spaces, where physical activity is promoted, and finally becoming healthy universities.
