Estructuración de un sistema de gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo bajo la normatividad vigente en una empresa de mantenimiento de bandas transportadoras
Given that there is a constant growth in companies, while Occupational Safety and Health is gaining great importance as time passes, due to the need that arises to ensure the welfare of its employees. Standards that regulate the OHS, require to provide employees with optimal working conditions, where they feel safe and healthy, increasing productivity and competitiveness. The implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) generates great advantages which they stand out: greater effectiveness in decision-making, improvement of strategic planning, allocation of resources in a more efficient manner, among others, that contribute to make the organization more competitive, take care of its employees and compliance with the regulations. This article presents the structuring of an OHSMS in a company dedicated to the maintenance of conveyor belts located in the Valle del Cauca, using the methodology PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) where the structuring focused on the Plan and Do (PD) and provide a specific guide for the company to carry out the remaining stages (CA). An initial evaluation was carried out regarding the OHSMS, under resolution 1111 of 2017, followed by the identification of hazards and risks and finally the necessary activities and resources were established, adjusting the current situation of the company to what is required by the regulations. Thanks to this work, it was possible to go from 18% to 85% in compliance with system requirements, making known that this methodology is appropriate for the structuring process of the OHSMS due to its adaptability to the size and characteristics of the company, applicable to other organizations.
