This article describes the design and implementation of a mobile application aimed at students and teachers at the Management and Marketing School of Quindio EAM, educational institution of higher education in the department of Quindio, who are currently users of the web site at the institution where they can usually manage academic and administrative processes. Thus, the mobile application will allow students and teachers to manage these processes on mobile devices. For the preparation of the application the spiral model development methodology was used in order to carry out the fulfillment of the requirements of software and Java programming language; using the ADT to create native mobile applications for the Android operating system. The result of the development in the first instance is the appropriation of knowledge in the field of development for Android operating systems, and a second is the implementation of a mobile solution that can provide the educational community new ways to get information quickly.
