In the transport of hydrocarbons, as in other sectors, a differential factor is created in the supply of value, emphasizing the promises of service and showing a consistent solidity of the companies to their consumers (Zhixing, Hu, ChanHou, & Andrew , 2015), likewise in the commercialization of fuel, different regulations and operational controls are presented by the authorities that make distribution an important factor for the search for efficiency and thus mitigate said restrictions without affecting the profitability of the businesses , but always complying with the provisions of the law. The objective of this paper is to propose a methodology that allows to measure the logistics management of distribution in the commercial relationship of a wholesale company that markets fuel with each one of its industrial clients. To develop this objective, a diagnosis of the current situation of the fuel distribution process of a wholesale company, fuel trading company was made, different mathematical models of efficiency measurement were identified, which led to the application of the DEA data envelopment analysis. the measurement of the efficiency of the operation, finally designing a methodology for monitoring each of the processes involved in the distribution of fuel and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the operation, and its impact on the profitability of the business.
