Therefore, in order to eliminate the use of these weapons contributing to world peace and security, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) is created, which with 178 signatures and 144 ratifications is one of the instruments with more received accessions; The reason for this support is clear: prohibit and prevent nuclear test explosions. However, it is necessary to review specific cases such as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in terms of the applicability of this international instrument and the conduct of nuclear tests in the last five years.
