Determinantes de la renegociación de contratos de concesión en infraestructura del transporte en Colombia 1993-2016 : recomendaciones de política económica
The present document seeks to provide evidence on which are the main determinants that affect the probability that a contract of concession of transport infrastructure in Colombia will be renegotiated. For this, a Probit model was estimated using a database that was built during the research process and has all the contracts awarded from 1993 to 2016 for the road, airport and port sectors with their main characteristics, which Were summarized by 15 variables, of which 5 were significant, for all the interpretation of its sign, but not its marginal effects. Among the most important results it was possible to establish that determinants such as contract duration, minimum income guarantee, and exchange rate variation have a positive and significant impact on the probability of renegotiation, whereas the Internal Rate of Return, and regulation through objectives, have a negative and significant impact.
