The research characterization of the quality management of the companies belonging to the snack-producing sector of the Quindio Department was developed with the objective of studying and analyzing the procedures that each one of the companies carries out to implement a quality management system, that leads them to a certification of national or international norms, like the Colombian technical standards and good manufacturing and international practices such as ISO standards and HACCP. These analyses in order to identify the variables that influence or limit the obtaining of certifications whether it be either a process, a product or the company as a whole. As a result of the research, the aim is to identify the influencing factors in the certification and to evaluate the degree of importance of these in the organization.
