The purpose of this article is to describe the management of human talent as organizational strategy in SMEs with meals and drinks from Barranquilla, underpinned by authors such as slope (2015); Bolet (2016); Garcia, Duran, Parra and marceles (2017); Ramirez (2018); Sanchez (2018), and Ramirez and Ampudia (2018). Epistemologically research is framed within the quantitative paradigm, positivist empirical approach, non-experimental design, transectional, descriptive, field mode. The population was constituted by SMEs in food and beverage services of Barranquilla, whereas establishments (38), led by a Manager each, attached to the Chamber of Commerce of Barranquilla. The technique for collecting data was the survey as an instrument a questionnaire with questions of scale of multiple selection, (6) items-structured, validated by (10) experts in the area, with a reliability of 0, 91r, determined using the method of the Cronbach's alpha, to analyze the data we used descriptive statistics. It is concluded that the management of human talent as organizational strategy, was moderately successful, betting on the strategic direction and fundamental processes, where evidenced subject study organizations, to plan and regulate your system, to determine their current and future, course setting objectives, determining the final results promptly. Is recommended to design management strategies to strengthen the direction of change, in order to be considered, as part of the dynamics of the new global era, increasingly competitive on the market, being considered as part of the transformation processes and growth of the organization.
