espanol El presente articulo es resultado de una investigacion de tipo fenomenologico, cuya intension fue describir la experiencia de ser maestro de cuatro docentes de un colegio de Medellin que tiene una propuesta educativa diferente a la denominada tradicional. La importancia de dicha experiencia radica en ser testimonio de otros modos posibles de comprender el rol del maestro y su practica pedagogica, coherentes con algunos de los planteamientos que hiciera el Movimiento Pedagogico en Colombia a mediados de la decada de 1970. Los datos se construyeron a partir de entrevistas en profundidad, grabadas y transcritas en su totalidad. Con este material, se inicio el proceso de Codificacion Abierta y, posteriormente, de Codificacion Axial respecto a la categoria maestro. De alli, se establecieron tres subcategorias: 1) Maestro como testimonio de humanidad realizada; 2) Ser maestro es ser aprendiz; y 3) Ser maestro es ser constructor de sentidos. En el presente texto presentaremos la segunda subcategoria. EnglishThe present article is a result of a phenomenological research whose intention was to understand the experience to be teacher of four teachers who works in a school with non traditional education in Medellin. The importance of this experience lies in being a testimony of other possible ways of understanding the role of the teacher and its pedagogical practice, concordant with some of the approaches made by the Movimiento Pedagogico en Colombia in last years of xx century, some of which remain relevant in the current historical context. The data was constructed from in-depth interviews that were recorded and transcribed in full. With this material, the Open Coding process was started and subsequently, the Axial Coding process with respect to the master category. Three subcategories were established: 1) Teacher as a testimony of humanity accomplished, 2) Being a teacher is being an apprentice and 3) Being a teacher is being a maker of meanings. In the present text we will present the second of them.
