Background : An exploratory research is proposed in the teaching of Mechanical Physics at the Cafam University Foundation Objective : to demonstrate the impact of active learning with Kinesthetic learning activities. Method : 24 students of Industrial Engineering and telematics of the second semester in 2016 - II. Four 2-hour workshops are developed based on active learning and particularly on Kinesthetic Learning Activities (KLA). A valuation survey was used with 8 Likert questions and 3 open questions. Results : 85% of students feel comfortable doing these activities and that at least 92% would like to discuss another subject of the course with this methodology. Likewise, it is evident that more than 75% of the students consider that KLA-type activities have helped them in a certain way, or a lot, to understand concepts such as: Displacement, Distance Traveled, Uniform Rectilinear Motion, Uniform Speed and Acceleration, as well as, to better understand the graphs of position vs. time (X Vs t), velocity Vs time (V vs t) and acceleration (A vs t). Conclusions : active learning with Kinesthetic learning activities achieved great motivation among the students, contributing to the greater understanding of mechanical physics.
