Perspectiva de trabajo social intercultural con estudiantes del pueblo indígena Pastos de las Universidades Públicas Nacional y Antioquia, Medellín - Colombia
The present investigation was developed with indigenous students of the Pastos people enrolled in a face-to-face way in the universities - Universidad De Antioquia and Nacional in the city of Medellin, focusing on some of the norms, laws and benefits that indigenous students have and how they has addressed this population group from Social Work as a profession. The indigenous from the moment of being admitted to higher education is faced with a series of situations and challenges that in one way or another begin to generate changes in their lives; Some of these changes once the transfer from their territories of origin to the city, are: food, climate, forms of economic sustainability, social relations, university life and cultural change, aspects that mark a change radical in their lives. This investigation was based on recognizing the current indigenous student in the city, as participatory subjects of a society; with their own knowledge and capacity to contribute and build alternatives for the improvement and strengthening of themselves and their peers, who are affected by different life situations regarding the path they travel to enter the University of Antioquia, their stay in the city of Medellin and the social and cultural change through which they spend when they start university life. This research was framed under the type of decolonial and intercultural research, being consistent with the type of participant population, respecting the ancestral peoples and corresponding to a series of specific requirements, both ethical and procedures of their own nature. A series of techniques were used and instruments for data collection, specifically the analysis of documentary sources, direct observation and semi-structured interviews.
