Análisis del grado de asociación en el largo plazo entre el crecimiento económico y las emisiones de CO2 en América Latina durante el período de 1990-2015
The analysis of the relationship between economic growth and the determination of the productive sectors that most affect CO2 emissions is a basic input for the control of these gases, given that the consumption of non-renewable energies mostly explains the behavior of this type of emissions. The research will determine the level of contribution of economic growth in CO2 emissions in Latin America, supported in the period analyzed. The research will contribute to the research lines of Modeling in Social Policy, Modeling in Economic Policy and Modeling in Agronomic and Energetic Environmental Policy, since it constitutes an input to generate new research that highlights the relevance of the study and the implementation of new energy alternatives that they do not generate an increase in CO2 emissions but they do promote sustainable growth in the public and private sectors. The beneficiaries of the research would be the institutions formulating the environmental policy, especially the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, the National Planning Department and the academic communities that integrate the economy and the environment in their research processes.
