Introduction: Job related Burnout syndrome in teachers has been on a growth scale during the last decades, which is why it becomes one of the main phenomena of study. Objective: To determine the levels of job related Burnout syndrome and its association with other factors in the Physical Education teachers of the Educational Institutions of the City of Ibague. Materials and methods. Descriptive-Correlational Transversal, the population under analysis was 111 physical education teachers from Ibague, aged 26-65 years. The variables to be studied were: sociodemographic (gender and age), and the variables of the Job related Burnout Syndrome. For the collection of information, the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of job related Burnout Syndrome, version for Professionals of Education (CESQT-PE) was applied. Results. Physical education teachers have low levels of SQT; 22 teachers (19.8%) have high levels, of which 22, 15 teachers belong to profile 1 (SQT without feelings of guilt) and 7 to profile 2 (SQT with feelings of guilt). In men, the prevalence of SQT was higher, and in women of physical and emotional exhaustion, indolence and negative attitudes, and feelings of guilt. Conclusions. It is necessary to design and implement training programs aimed at explaining what job related Burnout Syndrome is, why and how it appears, its progress and its symptoms, as well as prevention strategies and individual intervention such as physical relaxation and control techniques respiratory.
