The article presents the most importantcharacteristics of small enterprises in the townof Engativa in relation to activities they engagein product development, acknowledging thevarious challenges they go through to achievethat end. Among them are the following aspects:difficulty of conducting market research, lack oforganizational structure, problems of financialnature, all the above as a result of field work thattook place in the sector. This research aims todesign a low-cost methodology to improve internaloperational aspects of product development insmall enterprises.
