espanolEl articulo presenta la sintesis de los resultados parciales del proyecto Nociones del Territorio: Ciudad, Mapa e imaginario, desarrollado en el Grupo de Investigacion Xisqua, y que en esta fase analiza el sector del centro historico de la ciudad de Tunja - Colombia. A partir de tecnicas e instrumentos de analisis como encuestas, caminatas sensoriales y ejercicios de mapeo colectivo, se indago por la percepcion sensorial y los imaginarios urbanos de los habitantes. De esta manera, fue posible plantear una caracterizacion de la situacion actual del centro historico de la ciudad de Tunja, lo cual ha revelado problematicas asociadas a los usos que los habitantes le dan al espacio publico y establecer un comparativo entre las necesidades de la gente y los planes de intervencion propuestos por la administracion municipal. La investigacion permite establecer que la metodologia desarrollada es replicable en otros contextos, y que no tiene otro fin que caracterizar la situacion actual para poder establecer cambios y mejoras a la ciudad en pro del bienestar los habitantes. EnglishThis paper presents the synthesis of the partial results of the project: Notions of the Territory: City, Map and imaginary, developed by the Xisqua Research Group which, at this stage, analyzes the historical center of the city of Tunja – Colombia. From technical and analytical tools such as surveys, sensory walks and collective mapping exercises, researchers have investigated the sensory perception and imagery of urban dwellers. Thus, it was possible to propose a characterization of the current situation in the city of Tunja’s historic center, which revealed problems associated with the uses that people give to public space and establish a comparison between their needs and the planning proposed by the municipal authorities. Research can establish that the developed methodology is replicable in other contexts, and that it has no other purpose than to characterize the current situation to establish changes and improvements for the welfare of city dwellers.
