Agroecology has been proposed as an alternative to produce cleaner, healthier, for self-consumption, as a proposal that provides the possibility of providing food to the family agricultural unit and also to generate an alternative marketing proposal, these, as some of the motivations that led the farmers in eastern Antioquia to practice agroecology, specifically in the municipalities of Marinilla, El Santuario and Carmen de Viboral, in the department of Antioquia (Colombia).
