The purpose of this investigation is tocontribute to the development of the mentalcapacities as base for the formation of the scientificand research thought in the student.It is to apply and to evaluate strategies framedin a pedagogic model that strengthens theestablishment of cognitive tools for the access tothe scientific and research phenomenon’s, on thepart of the student.The research consists of the following stages:the initial diagnoses, to characterize the levelof development of the thought in the students,the application of a special didactic starting fromthe design of specific instruments and a finaltest, to evaluate the evolution in thedevelopment and use of the thought tools, untilfinding a fundamental model that allows toarchieve the purpose: to contribute to theformation of the scientific thought in theengineering students.
