espanolObjetivo: Determinar el nivel de incertidumbre en madres y/o padres de ninos y adolescentes diagnosticados con leucemia linfoblastica aguda (LLA) de la Fundacion San Ezequiel Moreno, Bogota. Metodo: Estudio descriptivo cuantitativo por analisis transversal, realizado a 14 madres de ninos y adolescentes con la enfermedad. Resultados: El 79% de las madres presento un alto nivel de incertidumbre. Segun la incertidumbre atribuida a la ambiguedad para el 50% de las madres sus hijos cambia impredeciblemente, 43% no han podido planear el futuro y 50% les es confuso el cuidado con el nino. Segun la falta de informacion el 43% no sabe que les ocurre, siendo dificil entender el tratamiento. En la imprevisibilidad 79% no sabe cuanto durara, cual sera el curso que tomara la enfermedad. Conclusiones: El apoyo del conyuge representa un factor fundamental para las madres. La ambiguedad refleja el desconocimiento del tratamiento, ademas del tiempo que transcurre la enfermedad. EnglishObjective: To determine the level of uncertainty on parents of children and adolescents diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) of the San Ezequiel Moreno Foundation, Bogota. Methodology: Quantitative descriptive study by cross-sectional analysis, carried out on 14 mothers of children and adolescents with the disease. Results: 79% of the mothers presented a high level of uncertainty. According to the uncertainty attributed to the ambiguity for 50% of the mothers, their children change unpredictably, 43% have not been able to plan for the future and 50% are confused with the care of the child. According to the lack of information, 43% do not know what is happening to them, being difficult to understand the treatment. In the unpredictability 79% do not know how long it will last, what will be the course that the disease will take. Conclusions: The support of the spouse represents a fundamental factor for mothers. The ambiguity reflects the ignorance of the treatment, in addition to the time that the disease takes place.
