Objetive: to describe the life experiences of a religious community settled in Manizales (Caldas-Colombia). Methodology: qualitative descriptive study carried out with 18 members of a religious community. The data collection was done by means of written autobiographies and daily field journals. The analysis of the information was performed via a Biographic-Narrative-Method with the aim of describing the collective legacy drawn from their life stories. Findings: Four common topics were identified in the autobiographical accounts and in the field records, which were mainly associated with the services provided in the fields of health, education, social support, and spiritual life. Conclusion: there is evidence of the fulfillment of a legacy inherited from the philosophy of the community, who by means of their various roles, demonstrate with their life stories, their commitment with the defense of human life, throughout their charisma.
