The manual handling of loads is the activity where some type of force is exerted for the transfer of elements. The main objective of the present study was to evaluate the ergonomic conditions for cargo handling of workers, using the INSHT methodology. In total, 4 jobs were evaluated, of which 2 have a non-tolerable risk, showing the need to establish preventive and corrective measures. According to the results, among the main findings it is highlighted that workers have received little training in cargo handling techniques for the development of their activities. Similarly, it is evident that the Organization does not have technological means to reduce exposure to manual handling of loads, increasing the risk of developing musculoskeletal diseases in workers. From the above, it is concluded that the application of the evaluation for the manipulation of manual loads is a useful tool for the determination of risk factors associated with the health of the workers. It also allows formally establishing an action plan, which specifies the preventive and corrective measures for the detected findings.
