The nursing staff at the time of performing their work must have the affiliation to an Occupational Risk Manager (ARL), in compliance with the law 1562/2012, which defines a General System of Occupational Risks as the set of entities, standards and procedures to follow for the prevention and protection of all workers against the diseases and accidents they face in their work environment. This, without exempting these personnel from accidents in their jobs and from developing long-term illnesses, these are usually exposed to occupational hazards such as: the biological within those who are in contact with fluids and mucous membranes, environments with viruses and bacteria, contact with sharp materials; chemical where it is in contact with dangerous, chemical materials; psychosocial that includes work overload, demands by patients and relatives; ergonomic inside those that are fallen, repetitive movement, efforts. That can cause accidents at work and occupational diseases, depending on the type of tasks they perform such as: patient care, wound healing, application of medications, assistance in surgeries; and according to the job position occupied by the sea in emergency services, hospitalization, surgery, intensive care or home assistance known as hospital at home. With this work is reviewed bibliographically the cases of accidents and occupational diseases associated with risks previous, that occur in the nursing staff and identify with the most frequent symptoms.
