Taking into account the theoretical gaps that exist around the association of the variables of parental socialization, self-efficacy and prosocial behavior in adolescence, the present study is oriented to determine this relation. The research involved the participation of 44 adolescents, a group of 23 men and 21 women between 13 and 16 years old, students of a private school that works in agreement with the district, located at Kennedy in Bogota. The present investigation is based on a quantitative methodological approach, intending to implement correlation analysis. It was found that although there is an association between the variables of prosocial behavior and self-efficacy, the sample was distributed heterogeneously in terms of parental style of father and mother. This implied very different variances between parental style groups, which did not allowed to determine if the first two variables vary in function of the last one. However, it was possible to develop a series of interesting frequency analysis by using chi-square tests, which provide relevant data for the knowledge of specific characteristics of the studied population. Considering the findings of the present investigation, there's a discussion about possible explanations, as well as the limitations faced during the study and some recommendations for future research.
