The technologies based on free software have generated great contributions, especially access to education and content, including Moodle (software for learning management). Through the use of these, research can be strengthened, continuing education courses and above all teaching. It is important to recognize that it is necessary to find technologies that improve teacher - student adaptation, especially in the evaluation process that is part of the training process. The identification of pre-knowledge and the measurement of progress in learning are consolidated as a determining factor in education. Objective: the development of the software had as objective to implement a technological tool that allows to explore the previous knowledge and the knowledge acquired after an educational intervention in the university students in the classrooms. Materials and methods: ICONIX was used, which is an incremental and interactive process distributed in phases that covers each of the software development cycles; In addition, the evaluation surveys were applied to students and teachers related to the usefulness and ease of use. Results: a web and mobile tool has been implemented for the web medium that includes questionnaires and types of questions, which allows to explore the previous and acquired knowledge in the students. Conclusions: this tool contributes to the teaching work from the postulates of constructivism, where it starts from the pre-knowledge and meaningful learning, which facilitates the interaction between teachers and students.
