Nowadays the social speeches take force and establish themselves specially across the mass media, being the ICT the most prolific mechanism at present for such a purpose; given the easy access across the diverse devices that these offer to us. Our investigative work attempts to identify the characteristics concerned to each gender (masculine and feminine), for this purpose we look into visual and textual level in the application of learning language Duolingo. Then we analyze how by means of these features there might be reproduced gender stereotypes that affect the construction of sexual identities, the way of seeing other one, and therefore the social conviviality. This exercise of investigative formation will be given, then under the lens of the critical analysis of the multimodal speech proposed by Kress and Van Leeuwen, having a socio-semiotic approach, in order to have a holistic reading of the representations of the masculine / feminine thing in the virtual application and how this reflects the underlying gender speech. Our observation threw how, both images and texts, they are vehicles of sense, stereotypes and possibly that overcome the limits of the stereotyping.
