It’s an historical and biographical investigation about the teacher Manuel Vinent Solsona. It’s built by the works on Cultural History, specially Roger Chartier and Michel de Certeau; also the Oral History methodology and the works of Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht. This Investigation is divided in three chapters approaching the Manuel Vinent’s representations, his teaching practices booth strategical and tactical, and finally, the images and imaginaries that let understand him as a Vital Experience. The three chapters are a narrative experiment and they explore the relation between the oral and the write expressions, the memory and the forgetfulness. Also, the three chapters gives an idea about the teaching practice in Colombia on second half of the 20th century, because Manuel Vinent Solsona was a Catalan arrived to the country on the intellectual environment of the fifties, worked on Colombia’s National University, co-founded the Liceo Juan Ramon Jimenez, advised the Instituto Pedagogico Arturo Ramirez Montufar, IPARM, and finally he worked in the Secretary of Education in Bogota helping to build the Instituto para la Investigacion Educativa y Desarrollo Pedagogico, IDEP.
