Resumo: As mulheres acometidas pelo câncer de mama precisam do auxilio integral de sua familia, consanguinea ou nao, que devera oferecer ajuda para enfrentar as fases da doenca. Frente a isso, diversos estudos na area da psicologia hospitalar tem buscado apresentar os beneficios que a participacao da familia durante o processo de recuperacao pode trazer as vitimas. O psicologo hospitalar tem o desafio de abrandar o processo doloroso de dependencia hospitalar da paciente e sua familia, orientando-os para o fortalecimento dos lacos familiares. Portanto, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a influencia que o suporte familiar exerce no processo de recuperacao de mulheres acometidas por câncer de mama segundo a visao da Psicologia Hospitalar. Para atingir o objetivo, utilizou-se uma metodologia bibliografica de abordagem qualitativa e exploratoria. O periodo de leitura e escrita deste trabalho evidenciou que o suporte familiar permite maior aderencia ao tratamento quimioterapico; maiores chances de a paciente obter um resultado favoravel no tratamento; protecao da autoestima da mulher; motivacao para continuar lutando de forma lucida e sem grandes comprometimentos psicologicos e emocionais; chances mais elevadas de adaptacao a nova realidade apos o processo pos-cirurgico, conforme as mudancas vao sendo ressignificadas. THE INFLUENCE OF FAMILY SUPPORT IN THE PROCESS OF RECOVERY OF WOMEN WITH BREAST CANCER Abstract: Women affected by breast cancer need the full assistance of their family, inbred or not, which is a solution to help them cope as stages of the disease. Faced with this, several studies in the field of hospital psychology have sought to present the benefits that the family's participation during the recovery process can bring to the victims. The hospital psychologist has the challenge of slowing down the painful process of hospital dependency of the patient and his family, guiding them to strengthen family ties. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the influence that support the family exercise in the process of recovery of women accepted for breast cancer according to a view of Hospital Psychology. To reach the goal, use a qualitative and exploratory bibliographical methodology. The reading and writing period of this study showed that the family support allows greater adherence to the chemotherapeutic treatment; greater chances of a patient achieving a favorable outcome without treatment; protection of women's self-esteem; motivation to continue fighting lucidly and without major psychological and emotional impairments; Possible higher adaptations to the new reality after the post-surgical process, as the changes were renified.
