Estudio comparado: descripción y análisis de los principales acuerdos comerciales de Colombia y México frente a su política comercial agrícola para incrementar y diversificar las exportaciones del sector entre los años 1991 y 2014
The dynamics of international trade allows countries to adopt agricultural trade policies and seek to achieve tariff preferences for their exports and enter international markets with on the fewest of barriers possible. In the case of trade negotiations agriculture are a necessary tool that allows countries to sign agreements and reduce trade barriers that impede access to markets equitably in a sector that is characterized by being protected in most countries world. This investigation presents and analyzes which are agricultural trade policies adopted by Colombia and Mexico between years 1991 and 2014, in line with the World Trade Organization (WTO); addition of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS) that have implemented to meet international standards to preserving the health of people. Moreover, the way the two countries have negotiated agreements with major trading partners and how they have treated their agricultural sensitivities. Also how they have been behaving agricultural trade balances with countries which have trade agreements.
