With the economic and trade liberalization has risen the negotiation of trade agreements through which countries have gained preferential access free of customs duties. This dynamic has increased the use of non-tariff measures as instruments to control and restrict the markets access of the countries. For these reasons, this research presents and analyzes the non-tariff measures that were applied to Colombia by Ecuador and Argentina from 2010 to the first semester of 2015, by identifying the export products that were affected by the implementation of these measures. It also raises the different mechanisms of dispute settlement to which they Colombia may resort when it affected by non-tariff measures imposed by Argentina and Ecuador that hinder or restrict trade.
