La Paz is one of the neighborhoods that belong to the parish “La Mariscal” of the Metropolitan District of Quito. After to realize the analysis and diagnosis of the place, we got the problems and the potential of the site were evidenced based on four guidelines: mobility, public space, equipment and heritage. In this way, it was established that there is a disjointed urban mobility system in the site, deficiency of equipment is tipology, lack of quality public spaces and deterioration of the urban, architectural heritage. The strategies and interventions have been established in the Urban Planning Plan generated by the nineth semester of the Architecture and Urbanism course of the University of the Americas, with this intervention it is intended to increase the percentage of resident population, encourage better connectivity and accessibility through public transport, provide a greater percentage of green area and public space and improve the quality of life of users by converting it into a safe and diverse space. The Urban Plan has generated several centralities so that users have access to various activities in the same place, these have been established by the vocation of each of the areas in which the Mariscal has been subdivided, zone C to the present titration work is delimited by Cristobal Colon avenue, 6 de Diciembre avenue, the 12 de Octubre avenue and the Francisco de Orellana avenue. The type of equipment for each sub-zone has been established in relation to the compatibility of use and function with the site. The present titration work: Child development center for children from 6 to 12 years old belongs to an area of educational vocation and is proposed with the objective of complementing learning activities and promoting integral child development through cognitive, physical and necessary creative in the infant stage. The execution of the project is based on several pedagogical, urban-architectural theories and the fulfillment of the requirements of the place, established in the POU and in urban regulations of the Metropolitan District of Quito.
