This article is the result of research done in the La Tramoya research center, which seeks to develop products with visual proposals that determine an analysis of the use of pedagogical tools with a social purpose. This is how it is proposed to create an interactive multimedia application that allows children and young people to know and appropriate their tradition and culture. Folkloric dance tells the past and culture of a nation. It is sought with the application, reach in the first instance to children between seven and twelve years of public schools and colleges that are supposed to be between the third level of primary and seventh year of high school. The application focuses on user interactivity and learning about four popular dances of Colombian folklore, its main steps and its history, applying with them the educational multimedia where the augmented reality is complemented as an interactive component, leading young people to this option Learning.
