Construcción de un modelo de Cultura Organizacional en el Ámbito de los Proyectos y su aplicación en el sector de Tecnología de la Información en Colombia
The limitation found in the number of academic studies that characterize subculture in the projects environment (Kendra & Taplin, 2004; Morrison, Brown & Smit, 2006; Stare, 2012) and the insufficient number of conclusive tests that identify cultural aspects on which the effectiveness of Information Technology projects depends (Jones & Harrison, 1996, Aladwani, 2002, Thamhain, 2004, Milosevic & Patanakul, 2005, Ching Gu et al., 2014), constitute the basic problematic that originates the present investigation, whose objective was to build a model of organizational culture in the projects environment and apply it to the IT sector in Colombia. A mixed study was carried out taking social constructivism as an epistemological framework. Using the constructivist grounded theory method, an organizational culture model was designed. It is composed of 32 cultural variables grouped into eight categories and four dimensions. The model was statistically validated. The relationship between the model and the effectiveness of project management in the IT sector in Colombia was established. Dependency relationships were found between efectiveness and the cultural categories of empowerment, adoption of project management practices, valuation of knowledge associated with projects and adaptation for the problems solution.
